Cerba Lancet Tanzania was invited to appear on ITV Tanzania, one of the country's leading television broadcasters and a recognised Superbrand, for a discussion on one of the growing challenges facing healthcare today: antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

The discussion focused on the growing problem of microorganisms becoming resistant to medicines used to treat infections, and what this means for patients, healthcare professionals and the wider health system in Tanzania.

A key part of the conversation was the role of the laboratory in addressing this challenge.

Laboratory diagnostics provide healthcare professionals with important information about infections and, where appropriate, help determine the medicines to which microorganisms are susceptible.
