A Healthier Rwanda means Coming Together
Cerba Lancet Rwanda as a team joined local residents for the Umuganda Cleanup Challenge.
The event provided an opportunity to contribute to a cleaner environment, strengthen relationships with local residents and encourage shared responsibility for community wellbeing.
Our work connects us to people through diagnostics. This September, that connection extended beyond the laboratory, as our colleagues worked alongside residents in a shared community cleanup.
The day gave the team an opportunity to contribute together, build relationships with local people and put care into action. Each contribution formed part of a collective effort, reflecting the value of teamwork both within our organisation and in the communities we serve.
Connecting Clean Surroundings with Food Safety
Alongside the cleanup, the team shared a message about water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), drawing attention to the importance of safe food and beverages.
The message encouraged care in how food and drinks are prepared, handled and stored, while raising awareness of the concerns associated with substandard products. Clean surroundings, good hygiene and attention to food quality all contribute to protecting community health.
Recognising the People Behind the Effort
